How do we start a game?
Each group has its own preferences and constraints they have to figure out to get a game going. Some prefer playing online so they can include their friends from around the world or to make things easier to schedule. Some prefer in person to have that immersive experience of imagining other worlds with friends. Either method most certainly involves making silly voices and expressions and getting excited (or disappointed) at rolls together. At Kaged Miniatures, we cater to both experiences depending on your needs and availability.
Online Games
For online games, our preference is using virtual tabletops like Roll20. We also have a variety of ways to ensure that newer players can have access to various resources to make character-building easy and friction-less. Ensuring everyone has access to the content to make their characters if need and a website that is easy to coordinate and run a game.
In Person Games
With in-person games, we would seek to meet up with your group at a predetermined place, using my vast collection of miniatures and other resources to run a session with the ease of focusing on getting into the game and letting the good times roll.
To hire us for DM For Hire, we will:
1.) Define Your Needs: Determine the type of game you want (system, setting, tone) and your group's preferences (frequency of sessions, duration, and format—online or in-person).
2.) Agree on Terms: Finalize details such as session schedules, fees, and any additional requirements or expectations.
3.) Sign an Agreement: If needed, formalize the arrangement with a contract outlining the terms of service.
4.) Prepare for the First Session: Collaborate with us to set up character creation, adventure planning, and any pre-session logistics.
5.) Begin Playing: Start your sessions and provide feedback to ensure the experience aligns with your group's expectations.
